AN AVERAGE PIZZA PLACE BUT...

MERCER STREET between Waverly and 8th.

It's just an average pizza place, but I was in love with this photogenic combination of the brick wall and the sidewalk.
Any brick walls always amaze me.

VERY LUCKY STRIKE

GRAND STREET between West Broadway and Wooster.

If you are shopping in Soho and looking for a place to sit down for a bit to have something to eat and drink, I highly recommend Lucky Strike.
First and for most, I love the inside decor. Its style of classic French bistoro (my favorite!) really sets its coolness.
And of course, the food is delicious. My favorite is French onion soup and egg benedict (yummmy!).

Unlike any other restaurants in this area, this place is more low-key and less chaotic. Although Soho is over commercialized, this place still manage to maintain neigborhood atmosphere. I think it is all due to its location. Grand Street is somehow blind spot for tourists and New Yorkers alike. I think it is one of these streets you sometime encounter in New York, which you never visit unless you have a specific reason.

A great restaurant not only serves great food but also offer a great dining experience.
With the being said, the interior and the decor plays an important role in defining the mood of the dining scene.

HIP MAKER

PRINCE STREET between Elizabeth and Mott.

In NYC, or any cities in the world, there are certain places where you can just hang out and automatically get recognized as the "cool" and the "hip" regardless of who you are. Cafe Habana is known for that sort of instant hipster-generator effect.

Dramatic Lighting

WEST 10TH STREET between Greenwich and Ave of the Americas (aka 6th Ave).

I was passing by this fairy restaurant one night and instantly captivated by its gorgeous entrance. It was unbelievably theatrical, which makes you feel like you are on a set of a romantic movie.

The fantastically calculated, professional-looking lighting system must have cost a lot. I was so in love with their uncompromising style specificity.

Even A Yellow Mustard Tee Gets Love

Kenmare St. at Lafeyette.

Infamous, La Esquina Taqueria and Cafe.

What's cool about this place? -- Being able to place these drink bottles in an effortless yet calculated way.

And also, this is the only place in Manhattan where a simple yellow T-shirt will be fully complimented.
