LINDA MASON

GRAND STREET between Thompson and Avenue of the Americas.

A famous make-up artist, Linda Mason's retail location has this eternal coolness of the 80's.
The bold and rythmical splash of the neon colors signifies the graceful chaos of era she was first recognized as the defining make-up artist.

VERY LUCKY STRIKE

GRAND STREET between West Broadway and Wooster.

If you are shopping in Soho and looking for a place to sit down for a bit to have something to eat and drink, I highly recommend Lucky Strike.
First and for most, I love the inside decor. Its style of classic French bistoro (my favorite!) really sets its coolness.
And of course, the food is delicious. My favorite is French onion soup and egg benedict (yummmy!).

Unlike any other restaurants in this area, this place is more low-key and less chaotic. Although Soho is over commercialized, this place still manage to maintain neigborhood atmosphere. I think it is all due to its location. Grand Street is somehow blind spot for tourists and New Yorkers alike. I think it is one of these streets you sometime encounter in New York, which you never visit unless you have a specific reason.

TH COOLEST BOOK STORE IN NYC

PRINCE STREET between Lafayette and Mulberry.

As far as I know, McNally and Jackson Books is the coolest and the most stylish book store in the city.

Also noteworthy... They have a little cafe space where you can relax and read a book over a cup of coffee or tea. Awesome.

HOLIDAY@CAFECAFE

GREENE STREET between Spring and Broome.

@ Cafe Cafe.

Lovely.

BTW, I LOVE the people who work at Cafe Cafe, They are VERY fun and welcoming. I used to go to THE famous and ubiquitous, tall-grande-vinte coffee mega-chain every morning to get my daily pick-me-up. But I got so tired of their poor customer service. So, my morning stop is now at Cafe Cafe. Just to be served by fun and cheerful people makes your day get going!! Thank you, Cafe Cafe!

THE MARKET AND THE GREAT MEETING

MULBERRY STREET between Houston and Prince.

The Market NYC is the place where you can find adorable and yet affordable items from the young and up-and-coming designer of clothing, accessories and etc. Especially when I visited there, the place was very packed with lots of people trying to get the best deal on hand-made, fine accessories for Christmas gifts.

I love The Market NYC because I get to meet the designers. They are very humble and passionate about their creation. Of course I love to browse through loads of items they are showcasing, but I enjoy talking to each designer and where their creative inspiration came from.

By the way, I met this Japanese jewelry designer named Mai Flores at The Market NYC. Her creations are A-MAZING!!!
So I recommend visiting her site >>>>>.

THE NEW YORK'S POST

PRINCE STREET between B'way and Mercer.

LooOOoooVE this font.

Very very retro, like 70's old-school style.

Reminds me of "GOTHAM CITY" from one of these comic books.

I ♥ THIS WINDOW

BROADWAY between Broome and Grand.

I ♥ this window!!!!
A very witty window display at J. Crew Men's Shop. Very eye-popping and unexpected delivery. Well-done!

OMG. I have been loving Men's clothing stores more than Women's.... They are cooler and simpler and easier to consume. Menswear is more about basic than trends, which I really appreciate. All you need is the basics with the finest and the best quality you can find, and you will never go wrong with your style for another 100 years! (A-MAZING!) I always go into Men's clothing store and wish I could wear those simple knitted sweaters, oxford bottom-down shirt and all sorts of trousers from khaki, to silky pin-stripe dress pants. And the TIES! They come in SO MANY varieties of colors and patterns. I just LOVE looking at these fabrics. Oh, only if I were a boy, I could rock them all....
